A Guildhall graduate and an Olivier Award winner Mikes work thankfully takes him all over the world designing lighting for plays, musicals, opera's and concerts together with events, architecture and special projects. He has many credits in the West End, New York, on tour and in regional rep. On foreign shores his lighting appears in France, Monaco, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, Macau, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Cuba and the USA.

In the theatre recently acclaim came for The Philanthropist, Honeymoon In Vegas, Monstrous Bodies, The Owl & The Pussycat, A Princess Undone, Much Ado About Nothing and classics State Fair, When We Were Women, Art, The Sisterhood, Great Expectations and Toast together with new plays The Odyssey – Missing Presumed Dead, Go See, Propaganda Swing and the European Premier of The Perfect Life in the latest Norwegian Arts Complex Kilden.

Outside of the theatre his team have lit hundreds of concerts, conferences, parties, private events and even designed the interior lighting for Aircraft including Virgin Atlantic J2000 fleet and the Airbus A380.

 

It's dark and it's broody, as befits Dickens' tale of poverty, wealth and unrequited love. Mike Robertson's lighting is a technical triumph
